“‘Love Letters to Betsy’ is an homage to the late Betsy Westendorp, an artist beloved by many and who had developed a deep relationship with the gallery. The exhibit features the breadth of Westendorp’s oeuvre, with works from 1972 to 2019, ranging from atmospherographs to landscapes, flowers, houses and portraits, of subjects both in her native Spain and in her adopted home the Philippines. Part of the show’s scenography is a peak into the artist’s studio, an intimate look at the process and materials of a much-celebrated icon. The presentation includes final pieces from her family’s collection.”
